Teacher Camp Overview

STEM Mavericks Teacher Camp is a one-week intensive summer professional learning opportunity designed for middle and high school educators. Participants will learn about and experience the STEM Mavericks curriculum and prepare to take it back to their school or community.

The camp starts with a 20-hour online Spring Prep Course on Python coding (January-April 2027). The in-person Summer Learning Week (June 2027) focuses on getting hands-on with the STEM Mavericks Raspberry Pi and engineering kit. Participants will leave camp equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources to implement the STEM Mavericks program in their school or community with their students. Camp activities conclude with participants creating a personalized Implementation Plan of how they will bring STEM Mavericks to their school or community over the next year (due July 2027).

DISCLAIMER: PSL is still confirming the available funding for our 2027 STEM Mavericks program. We are moving forward with planning and applications with the expectation the funding will be available. However, if funding changes, we may need to cancel or restructure this year's version of STEM Mavericks. We will be as open as possible about funding updates throughout the application and camp preparation process.
