Vendors, lessees, entities occupying NMSU assigned building space

Vendors, lessees, or any entity that occupy assigned space in NMSU facilities systemwide must adhere to the NMSU vaccination and testing protocols. It is the responsibility of the vendor, lessee, or entity to track their employees and report any non-compliance to the director of the NMSU facility.

Contractors and vendors with no assigned building space

General contractors or vendors including, but not limited to, construction contractors, mail/package delivery services and other daily services rendered within NMSU buildings that do not occupy assigned building space will comply with the NMSU Visitor Commitment.

Parking Information for Visitors

The following parking options are available for visitors to campus:

For Visitors to the Physical Science Laboratory: Visitors to PSL should use the gated-access visitor parking lot located directly on the east side of Anderson Hall (PSL). The gate has a key code for exiting that must be obtained at the main desk located in the lobby.

For anyone wanting to visit NMSU: For those visitors who want to enjoy the NMSU campus in the evenings (after 4:30 p.m.) and on weekends (Saturday & Sunday), no parking permit is required. You may park in any regular faculty/staff, commuter student or visitor parking space. Parking in metered spaces is also free after 4:30 p.m. and on weekends. (NOTE: Parking in the “Campus Resident” parking lots is restricted to permit holders 24-hours a day. Also, those parking spaces that are specially signed (e.g., “Service Vehicle” and “Postal Patron”) are restricted 24-hours a day.)

Security Protocol:

All visitors must sign in and show government issued proof of identification at time of check-in

  • If a visitor does not have or show proof of identification, then they are not permitted to enter the building.
  • All accepted forms of ID listed below must be government issued and have a picture. (all visitors may be asked their citizenship status)
    • Faculty/Staff NMSU ID
    • Military ID
    • State Issued Driver’s License
    • CAC Card
    • Passport
  • Visitors must identify at time of check-in their point of contact.
  • All Visitors are REQUIRED to be escorted at all times by the employee they are visiting- this includes being escorted back to the front lobby.
  • Foreign National Visitors need to be escorted at all times, no matter where they are going- this includes being escorted back to the front lobby.

Visitors and Personnel must at all times wear approved badge identification on their person in plain sight. (Above the waist)

Phones, cameras, and digital audio recorders are PROHIBITED in closed areas. (Lock boxes are available)

Directions

From the North (Albuquerque):
  1. Take I-25 South
  2. Take exit 1 for University Avenue.
  3. Turn Right on University Avenue
  4. Turn left on Espina Street
  5. Left on Stewart Street
  6. Right on Sweet Ave
  7. Right into a gated parking lot. The gate has a key code for exiting only, which must be obtained at the main desk located in the lobby.
From the South (El Paso):
  1. Take I-10 West
  2. Exit I-10 West to University Avenue, Exit 142.
  3. Turn right on University Avenue
  4. Right on Espina Street
  5. Left on Stewart Street
  6. Right on Sweet Ave and a right into a gated parking lot. The gate has a key code for exiting only, which must be obtained at the main desk located in the lobby.
From the East (Alamogordo):
  1. Take US-70 West to I-25.
  2. Take exit onto I-25 South
  3. Take exit 1 for University Avenue.
  4. Turn Right on University Avenue
  5. Turn left on Espina Street,
  6. Left on Stewart Street,
  7. Right on Sweet Ave,
  8. Right into a gated parking lot. The gate has a key code for exiting only, which must be obtained at the main desk located in the lobby
From the West (Tucson):
  1. Take I-10 East
  2. Take exit 142 for NM-478/S Main St
  3. Turn left onto NM-478/S Main St
  4. Turn left onto E Union Ave
  5. Turn right onto Stewart St
  6. Right on Sweet Ave
  7. Right into a gated parking lot. The gate has a key code for exiting only, which must be obtained at the main desk located in the lobby
